Cortina Ski Field. Most Epic Day Ever

I have gone to the ski fields in Hakuba Valley not far from Nagano. Don't know how long I'll stay here but definitely going to get some snowboarding in.

The snow is pretty amazing here and I've been getting lucky with warm, sunny, clear days and fresh snow overnight. Couldn't ask for better conditions.

Anyways, this particular mountain called Cortina is actually about an hr bus ride away and is a bit more of a journey to get to. Since it was closed one day due to 'too much snow- avalance warning' and then it dumped another 50cm that night, we decided to wake up early & share a cab with a few other backpackers all the way out there for an amazing day.

In absolutely no way were we wrong in that decision. The day was, and is, and will be; one of the most epic and amazing days ever experienced.

One of the friends/backpackers had a head-cam and I edited his footage together.
It was the kind of day that you see on tv. Powder spraying everywhere, falls and tumbles are the funnest things ever, and the trees were so full of snow. The weather was beautiful and wow. Everything about the day was perfect.

Since it was a Monday it was pretty quiet too. We were still finding untracked powder at 3pm.

Get this. The ticket came with a free lunch ticket and a free onsen ticket too. The total for the day's skiing was only $35. Utterly ridiculous
